Resilience Educator, Writer, Speaker
Welcome to The Lizzie Experience
I'm so happy you're here.
I'm Elizabeth - but friends, family, and followers know me as "Lizzie" and The Lizzie Experience is a reflection of my life, my heart, and everything I've learned (and continue to learn) on this wild, beautiful ride we call life.
I'm a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, entrepreneur, writer, resilience educator, and stage 4 cancer survivor. I'm also a happiness seeker, problem solver, dedicated employee, and someone who fiercely believes in HOPE, second chances, and personal comebacks.
Over the last decade, life handed me some of its toughest lessons; serious illness, grief, divorce, job loss, financial hardship, addiction/mental health challenges in loved ones, and through it all, I made a conscious decision to learn, grow, and share my journey with honesty, optimism, and humour. I immersed myself in healing work - from therapy and Al-Anon meetings to courses like DivorceCare, safeTALK, WRAP and various other modalities, and I've come out the other side with a deeper compassion for others and a desire to create safe, supportive spaces for healing and growth.
That's what The Lizzie Experience is all about.
I'm here to help you strengthen your resilience muscle and bounce back like a badass.
Because life will throw us curveballs - but with the right tools, support, and mindset, we can rise, rebuild, and rediscover joy.
On this platform, I share:
Real-life stories (the good, the hard, the hopeful)
Wellness strategies
Mindfulness practices
Food and nutrition tips
Uplifting quotes and affirmations
Resources for resiliency, self-care, and personal transformation
You'll find blog posts, digital guides, links to my support groups, and even a little merchandise that reflects the spirit of hope and encouragement I carry with me. And I want to hear from you too because connection is everything.
So grab a coffee, get comfy, explore the site, follow me on Instagram and Facebook @thelizzieexperience, and let's share this journey together.
With love, resilience, and gratitude,
Lizzie 🩷
