You know the saying: When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.
Well Universe, I need to say something:
Stop. Giving. Me. Lemons.
Seriously, I don't even like lemonade that much and quite frankly, I'm exhausted from all the peeling, squeezing, and pretending I'm thrilled about another batch.
I've got so much lemonade now, I could open a stand on the corner and still have leftovers.
Sometimes, we don't want to "make the best of it" anymore. We want the good stuff straight from the source; the ripe peaches, the perfect strawberries, the sweet without the sour. We want life to show up with something easy for once.
But here's the thing…lemons, for all their tart, messy annoyance, keep us inventive. They push us to create when we'd rather curl up and quit. They remind us we can make something out of what we didn't ask for, and maybe even do it better than last time.
So yeah, I'm still not thrilled about lemons.
But maybe, just maybe...the secret is to stop making lemonade for everyone else and start making whatever the hell I want with them.
Lemon cake. Lemon pasta. Lemon drop martinis. Or heck, just plant the seeds and grow a whole damn grove.
Because if life insists on giving me lemons,
I'll stop being the world's tired little lemonade maker…
and become the person who owns the orchard. 🌱✨
