August 31st: My Personal New Year's Eve πŸŽ‰

Today isn't just August 31st on the calendar, it's what I like to call the other New Year's Eve. The one that sneaks in at the end of summer, right before September rolls in with sharpened pencils, pumpkin spice everything, and that "back to business" vibe.

To me, September feels just like January. It's a fresh slate. A do-over. A chance to say: "Okay, universe, we've still got four months left of this year - let's make them count."

This little New Year's Eve falls on a Sunday. Perfect for a slow morning of coffee, quiet reflection, maybe a little meditative work…and then pulling out my planner like the boss of my own life. ✨

My Ritual for This Day
I like to sit down and take stock:
β€’ What did I set out to do this year?
β€’ What's still waiting in the wings?
β€’ What's on track? (And what's still circling the runway like a confused plane looking for a landing spot?)
β€’ What deadlines and launch dates do I want to commit to? My book. My digital products. My bigger dreams.

This is where I plot and plan, not with pressure but with purpose. It's about gently (but firmly) nudging myself toward the finish line and setting up these four months as the launchpad into a brand-new year.

Vision Board, Anyone?

Here's something fun: September is a perfect time for a fresh vision board. Instead of just thinking about what 2026 might bring, I love to ask myself: What do I want these next four months to look like?

Cut out the pictures, grab those words that light you up, and stick them where you'll see them daily. Bedroom wall. Office corner. Even your fridge (because who doesn't open that ten times a day?).

A vision board for the last quarter of the year is like a little compass pointing you toward joy, progress, and possibility every single day.

Four Months is Plenty

Sure, these next four months will fly by, they always do. But we can still get a whole lot done in "short-year" mode. Think of it as bonus time. A final quarter rally. A chance to finish strong so that when January really arrives, you're already cruising with momentum.

So here's to the "New Year's Eve" of August. To fresh starts. To vision boards. To appointments with yourself. And to finding that 'happy' along the way, because joy is always the best fuel.

Let's make September through December the months that count and set ourselves up to step into the new year like the rockstars we are.

πŸŽ‡ Happy Almost-New-Year, friends! πŸŽ‡

Love,
Lizzie 🩷
