When "Manifesting" Misses the Point
I believe in energy and intention - but let's be honest, manifesting alone doesn't pay the bills. Action does.
Lately I've been thinking about the rise of "money manifesting meditations." You know the ones - you're told to close your eyes, breathe deeply, and imagine money flowing into your life as if it's floating down from the universe itself.
And while I believe in energy, intention, and the power of mindset…I struggle with this. Because for many people - people who are genuinely struggling - these practices can offer more false hope than real help.
It feels disingenuous to promise financial abundance through visualization alone when what people really need are practical tools, structure, and emotional resilience.
Manifesting isn't a business plan.
Meditation doesn't pay the hydro bill.
And no amount of chanting "I am wealthy" will replace the real work of rebuilding confidence, focus, and self-worth after life has knocked you down.
That's where I believe resilience education comes in.
It's not about pretending problems don't exist - it's about equipping people with the tools to face them head-on. To manage stress. To set small, achievable goals. To rebuild belief in their own capabilities.
When we feel stronger and more capable, we show up differently - in job interviews, in relationships, in how we manage our time and energy. That's what creates opportunity. That's what brings in income. That's what changes a life.
Resilience in Action:
🧠 Realistic optimism.
The ability to stay hopeful while grounded in truth - believing things can get better because you're doing the work to make them better.
💬 Do you think manifestation has its place or is it time we focus on more real-world resilience?
