The Birth of The Lizzie Experience

It all started with a pause I didn't see coming.

Back in March 2020, just six months after recovering from cancer surgery and finally feeling like myself again, the world shut down. COVID-19 changed everything.

At that time, my small business, Love and Peace Wellness, had just been relaunched. Reiki was my passion - healing hands, in-person connection, seeing clients leave lighter than they came in. I believed that when we live from a place of love, we ultimately find peace. The name itself warmed my heart, and I loved the thought of people saying, "You know Liz, from Love and Peace."

But Reiki depends on touch, on presence. Overnight, that was no longer possible.

I was devastated. First cancer had put my life on hold, and then, just as I was ready to thrive again, a global pandemic pressed pause once more.

And yet…I still had something to give.

While my Reiki practice couldn't move forward, my job at the wine store remained. Customers came in. We talked. We shared stories - of fear, of resilience, of community. And I noticed something: people left lighter. Just like they did after a Reiki session.

So I asked myself: what are my gifts? My passions? My voice?

I started writing. Making videos. Sharing honestly about my struggles, my triumphs, and the lessons along the way. Friends, family, and even strangers told me my words - and my voice - comforted them. They urged me to keep going.

And that's how 'The Lizzie Experience' was born.

No longer limited by four walls or face-to-face connection, I leaned into storytelling. I became a life experience blogger, vlogger, and entrepreneur. I began to share it all:

My journey through cancer and healing

Separation and living on my own

Raising two daughters

Financial struggles and reinvention

Clean eating, exercise, resilience, and hope

Moving from limiting beliefs to empowering ones

This brand, this space, is my heart. It's about bouncing back like a badass, about resilience, about hope.
